A school in North Bristol are seeking a caring and motivated Behaviour Mentor to work across their vibrant primary setting, supporting children within both mainstream classrooms and a specialist SEND provision. This flexible role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties, communication needs, autism and complex learning needs.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who require additional behavioural or emotional support.
• Work alongside teachers and inclusion staff to promote engagement, wellbeing and successful learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support programmes.
• Support pupils in classrooms, small group settings and during unstructured times.
• Encourage the development of self-regulation, resilience, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate closely with families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Champion an inclusive approach where every child feels valued, safe and able to succeed.
  

• Has experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEND or behavioural needs.
• Is calm, patient and able to maintain high expectations.
• Can build strong, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Understands the importance of inclusive practice and child-centred support.
• Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
• Can work flexibly across different year groups and educational settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
