Branch Manager – Commercial Vehicle Parts
Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary: Up to £42,000

SF Partners are exclusively partnering with an established business within the commercial vehicle, truck and trailer parts industry to recruit a Branch Manager for their Avonmouth operation.

This is a key leadership appointment with full responsibility for the day-to-day commercial and operational performance of the branch.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Branch Manager who can lead from the front – driving sales and margin, developing customer relationships, managing costs and stock, and building a high-performing team.

The Role

Taking ownership of the Avonmouth branch, you’ll be responsible for its overall sales, operational and financial performance. You’ll work closely with the sales and operational teams to ensure the branch consistently delivers against its targets while maintaining excellent standards of customer service, compliance and health & safety.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Full operational and commercial management of the branch
• Delivering monthly sales, margin and contribution targets
• Managing branch P&L and controlling costs effectively
• Leading, motivating and developing the branch team
• Driving new business and developing existing customer relationships
• Identifying opportunities to grow the truck and trailer parts proposition locally
• Monitoring local market conditions and identifying new sales opportunities
• Managing stock levels, stock cleanses, transfers and incoming stock
• Ensuring customer SLAs and operational KPIs are consistently achieved
• Managing fleet activity and ensuring company vehicles remain compliant
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and branch compliance
• Managing recruitment, performance, appraisals and development of branch employees
• Improving branch productivity and implementing initiatives that support profitable growth

About You

We’re looking for someone with proven branch management experience and a strong commercial mindset.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous branch management experience within a sales and operational environment
• Experience within commercial vehicle, truck, trailer, automotive parts or a closely related aftermarket/distribution environment
• A strong track record of delivering sales, margin and profit targets
• Experience managing P&L, costs, stock and operational performance
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
• A proven ability to build lasting customer relationships and grow a customer base
• Good commercial awareness and business acumen
• Experience working to KPIs and operational targets
• Knowledge of stock control, fleet management and health & safety
• Confidence handling performance management, recruitment and people development
• A full UK driving licence

Knowledge of commercial truck and trailer parts would be particularly advantageous.

The Person

You’ll be energetic, commercially driven and comfortable taking ownership of a branch as though it were your own business. You’ll be equally confident developing customers, analysing performance and getting involved in the day-to-day operation.
