Development Technologist

• Are you ready to own product concepts from initial brief through to launch within a leading food manufacturer?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading FMCG Business on the search for a Development Technologist. This is a permanent role based in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the NPD concept and recipe development stage, working closely with customers to fully understand the brief.
• Managing kitchen equipment, ingredients and stock to enable sample preparation for customer submission.
• Building and maintaining new product files, including initial project and EPD information.
• Ensuring recipes meet customer codes of practice and nutritional targets.
• Supporting complaint investigations where formulation may be a contributing factor.

What are we looking for?

• A food-related qualification or degree, plus at least 3 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• HACCP L2/3 qualified or working towards it.
• A confident communicator with solid Excel and IT skills, and a genuine interest in food.
