Job Description:

General Builder — near Bath 

Pay: £20–£25 per hour, depending on experience 

Job type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, immediate start 

Location: Coombe Hay, Bath 

About the project 

We're looking for an experienced general builder to join the team on a substantial whole-house renovation and extension at a family home in Coombe Hay, Bath. This is a long-running project (several months of secured work ahead, not a short-term job) with an established site team already in place, including a site manager, electrician, plumber, and bricklayer/stonemason. 

The role 

You'll work alongside our site manager and existing builder as part of a small, hands-on team covering: 

• General building and structural carpentry (openings, stud walls, floor build-ups) 

• Tiling (porcelain floor and wall tiling across kitchen, bathrooms and hallway) 

• Decoration (full internal redecoration) 

• Installing windows and doors, including aluminium glazed units 

What we're looking for 

• A genuine all-rounder — comfortable moving between structural work, tiling, decorating and window/door fitting without needing a different trade brought in for each 

• Solid experience on residential renovation projects 

• Own tools and reliable transport to site
