Apprentice / Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

Bristol
£26,000 – £32,000 per annum – depending on experience
Full-time Permanent

Are you an Electrical Engineering graduate or Apprentice looking to build your career in building services design?

Our client is a well-established building services consultancy based in Bristol, and they are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice or Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to develop their technical skills and gain hands-on experience working on a range of exciting building services projects.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to the design and delivery of electrical building services across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with electrical design calculations and technical specifications

• Producing electrical drawings and design information

• Supporting engineers with project delivery from concept through to completion

• Working on lighting, power, small power and electrical systems

• Assisting with design coordination alongside other building services disciplines

• Producing and amending drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit

• Attending project meetings and liaising with clients and other design professionals

• Developing your technical knowledge and understanding of building services

We are interested in hearing from:

• Electrical Engineering graduates looking to start their career in building services or candidates who have worked in the Electrical field and wish to pursue a Design role. 

• Current or recently qualified Electrical Engineering apprentices

• Candidates with some experience in building services design

• Ideally, some experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit

• A degree, HNC/HND or relevant electrical engineering qualification would be advantageous

• Good communication and organisational skills

• A genuine interest in developing a career within building services consultancy/design

Training and development will be provided, so this is a great opportunity for someone looking to establish a long-term career in electrical building services design.
