Income Officer

📍 Bristol (Hybrid Working) 💰 Up to £40,000 per annum

RSR are currently recruiting for an experienced Income Officer on behalf of a respected Housing Association based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with a strong background in income collection, arrears management, and tenant engagement to join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of rent accounts and proactively maximise income collection.
• Monitor and reduce rent arrears through early intervention and effective case management.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements and provide tenants with advice and support.
• Initiate legal proceedings where necessary in line with policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to sustain tenancies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

About You

• Previous experience working as an Income Officer, Rent Officer, Income Recovery Officer, or in a similar housing management role.
• Strong knowledge of rent arrears recovery and tenancy management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
• Experience working within social housing or a housing association environment is desirable.
