Are you a hands on Mechanical Technician ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a Lead Mechanical Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bristol, where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, leading technical improvements, and leading a small but skilled engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that invests in its people, offers genuine career progression, and provides a varied role combining fault-finding, maintenance, assembly, project work, and team leadership. You'll be at the heart of the operation, helping to drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

The Role:

• Supported team leadership and mentored junior technicians.
• Assembled complex, high-tech products.
• Produced and maintained SOPs to support Lean processes.
• Ensured compliance with BOMs, quality, and ISO standards.
• Resolved build issues to keep production on schedule.
• Escalated shortages and technical risks to minimise delays.
• Managed workloads and team performance when deputising for the Team Leader.

What we are looking for:

• Vacuum industry fitting experience preferred.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding skills.
• Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Apprentice mentoring experience.
