Job Description:

RTC Resources are pleased to announce that we are working with some of the most prestigious private hospitals and clinics in the healthcare sector.

The successful candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while working closely with the wider theatre team during major orthopaedic procedures. Key duties will include preparing the operating theatre, checking all surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining strict aseptic standards, supporting surgeons throughout each procedure, anticipating their requirements and prioritising patient safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment in accordance with infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Check, organise and safely handle orthopaedic instruments, implants and specialist equipment before each procedure.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s requirements and pass instruments, implants and materials efficiently throughout surgery.
• Support the monitoring of patients and help maintain a safe, organised and effective operating theatre.
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Ensure all orthopaedic instruments and equipment are correctly cleaned, decontaminated and stored following use.

Experience

• At least 6 months UK experience working within orthopaedic surgery settings.
• Relevant Nursing and/ or surgical qualifications
• Knowledge of orthopaedic instruments and surgical techniques.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
