Maximo Consultant – Manage & Mobile | Contract (12 months+) | SC Clearance Required (Active/Lapsed) | Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced IBM Maximo SME to support a major programme, with a particular focus on Maximo Manage and Maximo Mobile.

The successful consultant will bring strong functional and technical knowledge of Maximo, alongside hands-on experience configuring and delivering Maximo Manage and Mobile solutions within complex, asset-intensive environments.

You will work with programme stakeholders, engineering teams and technical specialists to ensure Maximo is configured and utilised effectively against operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject-matter expert for IBM Maximo Manage and Maximo Mobile across the programme.
• Understand asset, maintenance and work-management processes and translate requirements into Maximo solutions.
• Support the design, configuration and optimisation of Maximo Manage functionality.
• Configure and support Maximo Mobile applications and workflows for operational and field-based users.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and solution approaches.
• Advise on Maximo best practice across asset, work and maintenance management.
• Support integration, testing, migration and deployment activities where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise the use of the Maximo platform.
• Produce appropriate solution documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
• Strong experience with Maximo Manage and Maximo Mobile.
• Previous experience working as a Maximo SME, Consultant or Solution Specialist.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Experience configuring Maximo to support maintenance, work management and asset lifecycle processes.
• Practical experience delivering mobile Maximo functionality for operational or field-based users.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into Maximo configuration and solutions.
• Experience working within complex enterprise programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of Maximo Application Suite / MAS 8 or MAS 9.
• Experience with Maximo Mobile configuration, customisation and offline functionality.
• Experience of Maximo integrations, data migration or platform upgrades.
• Experience within highly regulated, engineering or safety-critical environments.
• Previous experience working within defence or UK public-sector programmes.
